10th Day of Geekmas: Drawdio and MiniPOV from Adafruit

Tis the Season!

Tis the Season!

Congratulations to Sheila Meidell, winner of our 9th Day of Geekmas giveaway! She scored a copy of EA’s Brutal Legend, as well as a set of Musician’s Dice. Sheila likes music and games, so it seems only fitting that she won.

Today is our 10th Day of Geekmas, and it’s delightfully techy. Up for grabs are Drawdio and MiniPOV modules from our friends at Adafruit. The former is an electronic pencil that makes music when you draw. The latter helps you learn how to solder, program microcontrollers and make LED blinky toys. Both are made of the fabled awesome-sauce.

To hear me futilely try to describe these prizes, listen to today’s GeekDad HipTrax Stocking Stuffer. You’ll also discover the secret code word needed to enter our contest drawing. Use it as your message title when you email your submission to geekdad.hiptrax@gmail.com by 11:59 PM EST, and you may find yourself to be the chosen one. In keeping with our technological theme, you’ll also get to hear Nullsleep’s amazing 8-bit rendition of “Silent Night.”

The official HipTrax theme song was created by Snake Eyes. Though the weather outside is frightful, Snake’s beats are so delightful.
