We here at GeekDad celebrate all things Lego. Add a dose of SciFi to the mix, and you’ve got a recipe for something we’ll truly be geeking over.
Taking over a year to shoot, Trevor Boyd and Steve Ilett took their interest in stop-motion photography to recreate 44-seconds of the Matrix entirely in Lego. Recreating the famous bullet-time scene from the first movie involved creating their own Orbital Camera Rig from parts at a hardware store. Also of note is that the entire sequence is done entirely in camera - no special effects or post-processing wizardry here.
To find out how they made this impressive work, head over to their website. Otherwise, check out the video and the shot-for-shot comparison after the jump.
